Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek mostly revolves in the Annapurna range. This trek provide an amazing view of Annapurna, delightful villages and rural landscapes and give you a chance to explore the  local.

This trek is relatively easy with lower altitude waking and can be completed in 5 days. The rout lead to the beautiful Magar village of Ulleri and Gurung village of Ghandruk wehre trekker can explore the cultural and enjoy the ethnic hospitality of people.

The Itinerary of Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Day 1– Pokhara – Hille (Thikhedhungga) (1540 m.)
       The trek to Poon Hill began from the city of lake, Pokhara itself. The trek commence after  one and half hour ride to Nayapul. From Nayapul, walking for about three and half hours, we will reach Hille.
  Total Trekking Time: 3.5 hours

Day 2– Hill – Ghorepani(2860 m)
           The rout continues to take us to Ghorepani. The rout rewarded us with the first glance of Himchuli, the south of Annapurna and Machhapuchre peaks. On reaching Ghorepani, the captivating views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Fishtail surrounds us.
Total Trekking Time: 7 hours
Day 3: Ghorepani – Poon Hill (3210 m) and back to Banthati Hill (2660 m)
           Further continuing the trek leads to Poon Hill. Poon Hill is one of the most famous viewpoints in the world. After enjoying and capturing the moments we will head back to Banthati Hill.
Total Trekking Time: 5 -6 hours
Day 4: Bhanthati Hill – Ghandruk (1940 m)
        Today we will reach Ghandruk, a second largest Gurung village. Passing through terraced fields, crossing the suspension bridge and climbing the staircase, we finally reach Ghandruk. The rout to Ghandruk provide us the beauty of Himalaya,  flow of glaciers and the magnificent scenery of mountains. At Ghandruk  you can have clear insight of lifestyles of people.
  Total Trekking Time : 4 hours
Day 5: Ghandruk- Pokhar (820 m)
After staying overnight at Ghandruk we will move to Pokhara again.A brief 3 hours walk is needed from Ghandruk to reach Nayapul. An hour and half ride from Nayapul will bring us back to
Total Trekking time : 3 hours
  (Driving time :1.5 hours)
The trek ends as soon as we reach Pokhara. If you have time than enjoy the beauty of Pokhara. David Fall’s, Sarangkot, Fewa Lake are few places where you can go for a brief visit.
